Nidek AL-Scan optical biometer with ultrasound A-scan/pachymetry module

The Nidek AL-Scan is an optical biometer that performs all measurements for IOL calculation in one quick sequence. It measures axial length by low-coherence interferometry (14 to 40 mm), plus corneal curvature, anterior chamber depth, central corneal thickness, white-to-white and pupil size. Built-in IOL formulas include Haigis, Holladay, Hoffer Q and SRK/T, as well as post-LASIK formulas such as Camellin-Calossi. This unit is equipped with the integrated ultrasound option (A-scan and pachymetry) as a backup for dense cataracts where optical measurement is not possible. It has a tiltable 8.4-inch colour touchscreen and LAN and USB connectivity. Year of manufacture 2023.
